Fees are waived for prospective students auditioning at URTA.

What to Prepare
Please prepare two contrasting monologues, no more than 3 minutes in length. One monologue should embrace heightened language, either classical or contemporary (Parks, McCraney, Svich, Churchill, etc.) Also, prepare a short song to be performed acapella. -
Audition Dates
Deadline to upload materials November 19th
ON-CAMPUSDecember 4th, 2021 – to schedule an on-campus audition, contact Joe Hoselton
o Los Angeles: (virtual) - January 14th and 15th
o New York: (in-person) January 21-24
o Chicago (in-person) January 30-Feb. 1

Video Audition
If you are unable to attend another audition, you may provide a video submission. The requirements for a video audition are the same as an in-person audition. After you have submitted your application, please forward a link to your video (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) to Blake Hackler, Chair and Head of Acting at jhackler@mail.smu.edu no later than January 30th.
